Where Counties Kidz Kartz Fun Begins
Racing is for children who are 10 years
and over and have completed and passed the three day race
drivers course which is held each year usually in October. Once
passed and turned age 10 you are eligible to race. You must
attend regular Club Nights to also be eligible to race.
We do occasionally get to run Novice Races
for those without Drivers Licence or are under 10 years old.
These are held on safe ponies with older supervisors racing with
them to help if needed.

Ponies Regularly Race at Alexandra Park
From October to April. We race in 3 speeds over 3 different
Distances of either Fast 800m (Experienced Drivers), Medium 600m
( Medium Level Drivers), Slow 400m (Novice Drivers) throughout
the year. We also have alot of
grass track racing over Christmas New Years Break available from
Ruakaka to Thames to Te Awamutu and our final grass track 2 day
Series held in Hawera over Easter Weekend.
Our Older Experienced
Drivers also get the chance to qualify to drive our Fast Ponies
in the NZ Cup in Christchurch and also to represent Counties in
The Rising Star Driver Series which is held in Cambridge and
Auckland over 2 race meetings each year. |
| We are
planning on running regular Club Sunday Meetings also in
Pukekohe every 1-2 months for all members to take part in. We
hold Novice Driver Races at these meetings and invite Other Kidz
Kartz Clubs along to take part.
With so many children now with their race day
licence, there will be a roster of who will be driving at each race meeting
so you can notify us if you can not attend that day. We will be looking
at trying to give every child eligible to race as many drives as we can, which will
also depend on other clubs nominations for the week. |

Sunday by 9pm the week of the race,

Sunday Club meetings at the Pukekohe Trotting
track, we will look at giving everyone a drive as can run as many races
as we can including Novice Drivers who are not old enough or have not
completed their Drivers Course. These will be held at least once every 2
months and again Nominations need to be in on club night so draws can be
done.
Racing does cost $5 for the drive which goes
towards the running of the races. There is also a $10 charge for
transport if you pony has been brought in by someone else including club
ponies if you get a drive on one of them. |
