Auckland Manukau and Franklin Cup Criteria for 2011-2012 season

Ponies must complete 6 races over the cup distance chosen in order to qualify for an invitation to a cup start. All results will be done on a points system recorded from results and made available for viewing. ie 10 starters 1st 10 2nd 9 3rd 8 4th 7 ..... 10th 1 and Disqualified 0 and not counted as a completed start. Top 16 ponies on points table at the end of qualification stated dates will then get invited into each cup and must be accepted by the driver/club before the stated closing date or the next pony in line will receive the invitation. All ponies that are not regular competitors at Alexandra Park races and wishing to take part in these 2012 Cups must compete in at least 1 race meeting over the distance of the cup chosen at an Alexandra Park meeting. Please check below for racing dates for all distances. Concession Driver Handicaps are not to be included in Cup Finals. Those drivers on Concessions will not hold their concession driver handicap for Cup Finals. Ponies that can compete over two distances may only compete in Maximum of 2 cups and not with the same driver as a combination in both cups. Drivers may compete in Maximum of 2 cups but not with the same pony as a combination in both cups.

Waikato Kidz Kartz Club Ponies may contest cups but to same rules above and must attend at least one meeting of chosen cup distance at Alexandra Park. Results from Waikato races will be included in points table.

South Island entries for Auckland Cup: South Island contenders may take part in Auckland Cup Final only. This must be to the above criteria as applies for Waikato and must also be present o start in The Last Chance Race Meeting on 2 March 2011 for handicapping purposes.

Results may be sent in to countieskidzkartz@hotmail.co.nz to join our points table system and need to race over the 800m distance as a qualifier equivilent.

Name of pony and driver
Handicap for each race incase changed
Date of race and track raced on
How many in field completed race (all those not disqualified)
Placing in race
Order race starters finished in including disqualifications ie. 2,5,6,8D,1,4,3D (Showing 8 & 3 where disqualified)
